Why am I running? |
Four years goes by fast, when contemplating a second run for Laramie City Council, I realized that, in this role I’ve helped accomplish more in 3 ½ years than in any other time in my life. People tell me I’ve been trying to “save the world” since I was a little kid, I think we all try to do that in our own way. For me it was the right choice to run again and keep chipping away at problems. Meeting our challenges can seem pretty daunting at times but it’s all about finding practical solutions and building on to them one step at a time I take the work seriously, research issues, and carefully consider all my decisions. I hope that you feel the same way and I can count on your support.
I believe that cities were created to improve the health of their residents. Our water, sewer, trash collection, police departments, and fire departments protect our health. I am passionate about public health; and I'm also excited about the expanding roles of cities in improving quality of life for residents. I have lived in Laramie for 31 years, and I stay because I love our mountains, our downtown, and our community. I would love to continue to represent our residents on the city council so that I may use those strengths to make Laramie an even better place to live. |
